UAE landmarks light up to show support for UAE-China cooperation

The Emirates Palace hotel in Abu Dhabi cloaked with the Red colour symbolizing China marks the celebration of Sheikh Mohamed’s visit in China on Monday.

Dubai’s Burj Khalifa also displayed a tribute to the partnership of UAE and China.

The UAE landmarks were lit up to honour the strong ties between the two Nations, as per a report from The National.

To celebrate the meeting of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and China President Xi Jinping, images of them were projected onto the Burj Khalifa.

China’s flag was also emblazoned on the landmark ADNOC building and the Marina Mall tower.

Aiming to strengthen the ties between the Middle East and the Far East, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed lead a diplomatic delegation from the UAE in Beijing to attend a series of key discussions.

It was further reported that a deals and agreements about cooperation to enhance the field of economy, oil and environment were also discussed and sealed.

Part of those agreements was the deal signed between Dubai’s Emaar Properties with Beijing Daxing International Airport to implement an $11 billion (Dh40.5 bn) project that includes residential and leisure facilities across a 5 sq km area at the airport.

Another agreement signed was between Abu Dhabi National Oil Company and the state-owned China National Offshore Oil Corporation to explore collaboration upstream and downstream with the world’s largest oil importer.
