Sources say that President Rodrigo Duterte is not happy with the performance of his cabinet members.
One of those being reviewed is Agriculture Secretary Manny Piñol after his response on the ramming of a Chinese vessel to a Filipino fishing boat.
Piñol also received criticisms during the rice shortage problem last year. He even challenged his critics to eat rice with ‘bukbok’.
It can also be recalled that some Cabinet members have said that the Agriculture Secretary also failed to address the inflation problem because of rice supply.
“Ang pinaka-importante sa kaniya ‘yung ma-maintain ‘yung performance niya kasi ngayon ang ganda ng acceptability ng tao sa administration niya as a whole,” the source said.
The same source also said that Piñol might be transferred to Mindanao Development Authority (MinDA)
