The Dubai Criminal Court heard the case of 32-year-old driver in Dubai who has been accused of raping a housemaid inside their employer’s home.
The Filipina complainant said that the Asian driver would often follow her around the house and try to kiss or hug her, reported The National.
Until the night of March 3, the complainant said that the defendant followed her inside the laundry room and hugged her from behind.
The Filipina said that she tried to resist the driver but he was too strong for her.
The defendant then dragged her to a nearby bedroom, turned the lights off, and raped her.
The housemaid said that after the assault, the man just stood up, got dressed and left the room.
According to medical reports, the woman has “minor scratches [on her body] that may be consistent with her version of events”.
The defendant, however, denied the accusations before the court.
The next hearing is scheduled for June 25.
