Bong Revilla promises not to steal money and no ‘budots’

Senatorial candidate Ramon “Bong” Revilla said he will not steal from the public coffers nor do the “budots” dance if elected.

In an interview with DWIZ radio, Revilla said he will do his job properly in the Senate.

“Hindi po ako magnanakaw at hindi po ako masamang tao,” Revilla said.

In December 2018, Revilla was acquitted by Sandiganbayan of plunder which was linked to pork barrel scam of Janette Lim Napoles.

He was detained at the Philippine National Police (PNP) in Camp Crame, Quezon City for four years since 2014.

After his acquittal, Revilla decided to run for senator and is now expected to win as he placed 11th in the most recent poll results.

He also addressed his critics who said he will not be an effective senator since he did not state any platforms on his political advertisements. Instead, he only danced the “budots” to woo voters.

“Tayo ay mag-perform sa Senado. Hindi tayo magsasayaw lang diyan,” he said.
