With more than a week left before the midterm elections on May 13th, Catholic charismatic leader of the El Shaddai Church Mike Velarde has announced support to 14 senatorial aspirants.
The church leader endorsed 10 senatorial bets from the combined Hugpong Ng Pagbabago (HNP) and Partido ng Demokratikong Pilipino Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban) slates, the official party of President Rodrigo Duterte.
The senatorial candidates include re-electionist senators JV Ejercito, Sonny Angara, Cynthia Villar, Koko Pimentel, Imee Marcos, Bong Revilla Jr., Jinggoy Estrada, Bong Go, Francis Tolentino, and Ronald Bato Dela Rosa, reported PDI.
Other candidates endorsed by the charismatic group include re-electionist senators Grace Poe, Nancy Binay, and Willie Ong.
Senator Bam Aquino is the only opposition and Otso Direcho candidate to make it on the list.
El Shaddai has an estimated eight (8) million members.
