Police at Ras Al Khaimah has released a report that they nabbed a 23-year-old Emirati driver for multiple traffic violations amounting to Dh 1,158,000.
RAK Police announced that the amount of the traffic fine is the biggest ever in record with more than 1,251 traffic violations after he was nabbed in a surprise inspection raid as per a report from Khaleej Times.
Maamura Police Chief Col Waleed Mohammed Juma said the young driver was booked 1,200 for spending, and that the car was due for impoundment for 51 times as well.
“The erring driver is also implicated in so many other traffic violations,” said Col Juma as he added that the driver also had an expired driving license.
Here are some of the violations and corresponding penalties:

| Exceeding maximum speed limit by more than 60km/hr | Dh2000 fine, 12 black points and vehicle impounded for 30 days |

| Causing death of others | Penalty to be decided by the court, 23 black points, vehicle impounded for 60 days |
| Causing serious injuries | Penalty to be decided by the court, 23 black points and vehicle impounded for 30 days |
| Jumping a red light for light vehicles | Dh1000 fine, 12 black points and vehicle impounded for 30 days |
| Overtaking on the hard shoulder | Dh1000 fine, 6 black points |
| Driving against traffic | Dh600 fine, 4 black points |
| Failure to fasten seat belt while driving for all passengers | Dh400 fine, 4 black points |
