A maid is under trial in Sharjah for allegedly setting her employer’s car ablaze.
According to the male employer, he arrived home around 12 in the afternoon and discovered that the maid was attempting to put out the fire inside his vehicle, reported Al Khaleej.
The employer immediately called the civil defense to extinguish the fire.
The employer began suspecting that the maid was the one responsible for starting the fire when he remembered the latter calling him to ask what time he would be home.
The employer said that the maid used gasoline to burn the vehicle because she didn’t want to go to his uncle’s home.
The maid, meanwhile, denied the allegation of her employer against her.
The next hearing is scheduled on February 20.
