A Chinese woman sought the help of authorities after a group of nine Chinese nationals–including one woman–raped her in a hotel in Muntinlupa City on Tuesday, November 13.
Muntinlupa Police Superintendent Marites Salvadora said that the suspects are all co-workers of the victim in a call center company, reported ABS-CBN News.
The suspects dragged the woman into a room in a hotel where they are residing. The victim’s mouth was covered with tape while her hands and feet were restrained with rope.
Following the incident, the victim was threatened not to tell anyone about the incident.
Five of the accused are currently in the custody of the authorities while the remaining four are still at large.
Southern Police District director Senior Superintendent Eliseo Cruz said that they will coordinate with the China’s Bureau of Immigration and Embassy for the progress of the case.
