A four-year-old boy drowned in the swimming pool of his school in Sharjah on Wednesday, November 14, resulting to his death.
The tragic incident happened during a swimming class the child was attending.
According to reports, the trainers noticed the child in an unconscious state and immediately rushed him to Al Qassimi hospital, told Gulf News.
The Sharjah Police is now investigating further into the incident. Meanwhile, school closed its doors to mourn the child’s death.
According to Khaleej Times, the school notified all parents of students about the incident and its decision to close down. The school, which will resume regular operations on Monday, has agreed to cooperate with the Sharjah Police.
The Sharjah Education Council has expressed condolences to the family of the 4-year-old child who drowned during school hours.
