New Titanic to set sail from Dubai in 2022

The exact replica of one of the most luxurious ships to ever grace the seas is set to kick-off its two-week maiden voyage in Dubai in 2022.

From Dubai, Titanic II will head to Southampton where it will then take voyages to New York, following the same path as the original did in 1912, according to a video posted by Bloomberg.

Blue Star Line, the owner and operator of the new Titanic, reportedly spent half a billion dollars to make the replica perfectly look like the original, all the way down to original dinner menus.

The Titanic II will also be equipped with 21st-century technologies, integrated with the latest navigation and safety systems.

Once completed, the luxurious ship will be able to accommodate 2,400 passengers and 900 crew members, and will take about six to eight days to complete the cross-Atlantic trip.

Titanic II was first announced in 2012 but financial problems delayed the shipbuilding.
