More than a thousand bikers will gather in the Clark Freeport Zone in Pampanga next month to attempt bagging the Guinness World Record title for the longest single line bicycle parade.
The bikers will need the attendance of more than 1,500 cyclists on October 28 as the title is currently held by Bangladesh with 1,186 participants.
The event will be spearheaded by One Trinity, the distributor Trinx Bikes, in partnership with Clark Development Corporation (CDC), Department of Tourism (DOT), CST Tires International and the National Bicycle Organization.
According to the President of One Trinity, Jerry Tiu, the event will give every Filipino a chance to create history.
“This will bring pride not only to the Cycling Community, but to the Filipino people,” said the company in a post.
Apart from being title holders, participants may also donate to different beneficiaries including Hospicio de San Jose.
“More than the honor and pride you will be bringing our country, we encourage everyone to give voluntarily to our beneficiaries and charitable institutions. Let us give back to the society that we live in,” said Trinx Bikes in a statement.
Aspiring participants may register for free and will receive certificates, raffle stubs and shirts to celebrate the attempt. However, the company has limited the slots to 4,777 participants in a first come, first serve basis.
