Abu Dhabi Police rescued a man from his speeding car at 130 km/hr due to its malfunctioning brakes.
In a video uploaded on Instagram, the police narrated how they saved the driver from a potential accident in Al Ain Road.
The driver claimed that it was the first time his brakes malfunctioned. He added that he tried shifting gears to neutral when he realized what was happening.
When that did not work, he called for help at the Command and Control Center of the Abu Dhabi Police.
The police calmed him down and dispatched 15 patrols and two ambulances to guide him on the highway. The patrols were able to take him off the highway and stop the vehicle.
Brigadier Salim bin Barak Al Dhaheri, Director of Traffic Department of the Abu Dhabi Police Traffic Department, said that no other drivers were harmed in the incident.
