An expectant mother gave birth to her child in a passenger bus in Victorias, Negros Occidental.
Vilma Salondro, 27, gave birth to a baby girl on Saturday, September 1 while on her way to the hospital.
In a Facebook video uploaded by Nikko Manigos, a man in scrub suit is seen carrying a newborn child off the bus into St. Anne Medical Center in Cadiz.
Netizens are calling the incident a blessing. Even the uploader of the video said it was amazing to witness.
“We thought someone got hurt or worse. But turns out, we witnessed something amazing. Thank God,” Manigos captioned it.
According to the mother, she was with one of her two children when the pain hit her to an unbearable level. She was ordered to lie down on the bus seat and assisted by two passengers in giving birth to her third child, reported ABS-CBN.
Salondro was not able to thank the passengers as she was carried away on a stretcher after delivering the baby. She also gave her baby a name that would signify the unique circumstances she was born in: Ceresa Mina Salondro, after the Ceres bus.
