ABU DHABI: OFWs seeking to find great deals for their monthly groceries and even to fill their balikbayan boxes can now visit the newest Lulu Hypermarket located at the Mall at the World Trade Center in Abu Dhabi (WTCAD) that opened its doors on July 2.
This is LuLu’s 57th store in the UAE and 148th to open worldwide with stores in India, Egypt, Indonesia, and Malaysia.
In attendance during the opening was LuLu Group Chairman and Managing Director Yusuff Ali M.A. together with Aldar Properties Chief Executive Officer Talal Al Dhiyebi, LuLu group Executive Director Ashraf Ali M.A as well as other LuLu Group and Aldar officers.
Yusuff Ali M.A. shares that the assets behind the success of LuLu are the quality of products they provide as well as the staff that they train. “Through our internationally sourced quality products and enthusiastic staff, LuLu has been the shopping partner of different nationalities and we will continue to preserve this identity with our new store. This new hypermarket at The Mall at WTCAD introduces a newly improved design and space, which will further strengthen the world-class shopping experience that we have always been committed to,” said Yusuff Ali M.A.
Al Dhiyebi is optimistic that the opening of the LuLu Hypermarket at WTCAD will drive further footfall at their mall as they expand to cater to their customers in Abu Dhabi. “We constantly review our retail mix to ensure we provide residents and visitors alike with the right balance of brands so are pleased to welcome LuLu Hypermarket to The Mall at WTCAD,” said Al Dhiyebi.
What’s unique about the newly-opened LuLu Hypermarket at WTCAD is that the store is a first for LuLu’s next generation concept, having been designed by top Italian designers featuring wooden ceilings that give a fresh perspective for shoppers as well as a wide variety of new sections including Gluten-free and Organic sections as well as a fresh Sushi bar.
LuLu Group International’s Chief Communications Officer said that they aim to continue providing fresh concepts for their stores to meet the demands of their customers and bring them a taste of their home in the UAE. “This country gives everything – but one thing we miss is our home. Obviously you can’t always bring the family here so the next best thing is the food, the ingredients, and the products and that’s what we provide.”
