Duterte’s net satisfaction rating falls from ‘very good’ to ‘good’, SWS says

The latest Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey shows that the net satisfaction rating of President Rodrigo Duterte has dropped to his lowest rating so far.

According to the said survey, the president received a score of +45, which is a 11-point decline from the +56 score he received in March.

It showed that 65 percent of the respondents are satisfied with his performance, which is 5 points lower from the last survey. Twenty percent, however, said they are dissatisfied.

Based on the SWS scale, Duterte’s score has dropped from ‘very good’ to ‘good’. His current rating surpassed his previous personal low which was a score of +48 in September 2017.

SWS cited that the decline in Duterte’s net satisfaction rating was due to the drops in his rates across the country. The biggest drop was in Metro Manila where he got a +24 from +54 last March.

The survey, conducted from June 27 to 30, was done through face-to-face interviews of 1,200 adults, ages 18 years old and above nationwide.

The SWS rates a +70 net satisfaction rating as “excellent”; +50 to +69 was “very good”; +30 to +49 was “good”; +10 to +29 rates as “moderate”, +9 to -9 was “neutral”; -10 to -29 was “poor”; -30 to -49 was “bad”; -50 to -69 was “very bad”; and -70 and below was “execrable”.

The survey was released only a few weeks before he gives his third State of the Nation Address.
