Emirates’ A380 Onboard Lounge receives facelift to commemorate the lounge’s nine years in service.
The revamped Onboard Lounge now gives passengers the ambiance of private yacht cabins and now features more intimate and social area.
The lounge can accommodate 26 Business and First class passengers aboard the double decker A380 aircraft.
Emirates President Tim Clark previously said the airline “increased the seating space and made the lounge more intimate and conducive for passengers”.
“The onboard lounge is hugely popular with our customers, and has become an iconic feature of Emirates’ A380 offering,” he said.
The lounge now includes:
- “An airier look and feel”
- Soundproof curtains to partition the lounge area from the other cabins
- Additional soft ambient lighting options
- New window blinds with integrated LED mood lighting
- Subwoofers for surround sound
- A 55-inch LCD screen on which customers can view the latest flight information, or enjoy live TV broadcasts of the latest news or sports updates
