Dubai unveils Dh5.5 billion Dubai Food Park project

A modern and one-of-a-kind food business park will soon be opened in Dubai Wholesale City, the Dubai Media Office announced on Tuesday, July 11.

The Dh5.5 billion Dubai Food Park project was launched in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai. It it set to boost the emirate’s competitiveness as a leading hub for food re-export in the region.

The food park will provide food-related services in one location, the Dubai Media Office announced in a series of tweets.

“The food park will be unique for its strategic location and ease of access through all marine, air and land ports,” it said.

It location is near Jebel Ali Port and Al Maktoum International Airport. It targets to serve about millions passengers when fully operational.

The project is set to meet the growing demand from the food sector in the UAE, and the development of the tourism sector, said Abdulla Al Habbai, Chairman of Dubai Holding.
