A minibus carrying workers crashed into a tree on Zabeel Road on Saturday morning injuring 13 passengers, the Dubai police reports.
The crash was reported to the police at 5:38 am and a rescue team and ambulance were dispatched to the accident site.
Rescuers used hydraulic cutters to free the passengers trapped inside the bus. Eight of 13 injured workers suffered serious injuries and were taken to Rashid Hospital.
Initial police investigation found that the minibus driver apparently lost control causing the bus to swerve on the road before hitting the tree.
