Rider throws grenade at Manila police station

A motorcycle-riding individual attacked a police station in Manila with a grenade at dawn on Friday.

The grenade exploded outside the precinct on Arellano Street, San Andres Bukid around 3:17 a.m. but did not injured anyone, according to an Inquirer report.

A sports utility vehicle was damaged by the explosion.

The rider drove away after hurling the grenade as gunfire were reportedly heard.

Bullets hit a jeepney and car parked near the area.

A bomb squad from the Manila Police District later found grenade fragments at the scene.

The motive of the bombing remains under investigation and the suspect is being hunted.
