Kobe Paras leaves Creighton Blue Jays

Kobe Paras is reportedly set to leave the Creighton Bluejays after just one season and transfer to a new school.

The World Herald first reported the news on Sunday. Paras averaged 1.3 points and 1.0 rebound in limited playing time off the bench for the Blue Jays.

He played in 15 of Creighton’s 35 games last season. He starred for Cathedral High School in Los Angeles and Middlebrooks Academy and was touted as three-star recruit by 247Sports, Rivals and ESPN.

The son of two-time PBA MVP Benjie Paras initially committed to UCLA prior to Creighton.

Soon after the news broke out, Paras posted his goodbye and thank you message to his Blue Jays family and the community.

Filipino hoops fans have been following Paras’ career in the US in hopes of one day seeing him make it to the NBA.
