Man nabbed over alleged Kiefer Ravena photo scandal

Ex-Ateneo basketball standout Kiefer Ravena, has confirmed in an official statement on Wednesday that a man has been arrested over his leaked lewd photos circulating on social media.

The offender, who has been identified as Kristoffer Monico Ng, is now in police custody and will be charged with robbery and extortion.  Ravena said Ng threatened to “leak” photos and tried to extort money from him.
Ng is identified as a banker and like Ravena, is also an alumnus of Ateneo. The suspect, however, has claimed that he merely offered information, in exchange for money but denied taking the video or posting it on social media, Fox Sports reported.

“Today, the PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group conducted an entrapment operation on Kristoffer Monico Ng, who threatened to ‘leak’ photos and tried to extort money from us,” Rappler quoted the 23-year-old as saying.

“We’ve been silent the past couple of weeks because my parents have been consulting with law enforcement to get to the bottom of this matter. According to police, Mr. Ng will be charged with robbery and extortion, and could face a minimum of 12 to a maximum of 20 years in prison.”
