Filipina dies after crocodile attack

KINABATANGAN: A search and rescue team has found the body of a crocodile attack victim at Ladang Genting Mewah near Kinabatangan River in Malaysia.

Norana Alan, a 22-year-old Filipina, was attacked by a crocodile when she was picking palm oil fruits at the spot, reported The Borneo Post.

Kinabatangan Fire and Rescue Department head Rantey Fred said the victim’s body was found around 2.30am on Saturday when she was attacked by the reptile, the report said.

“The victim’s body was still complete and there were no scars. However, the Kinabatangan Hospital confirmed there were wounds on the victim’s hand and back which were caused by the crocodile attack,” he was quoted as saying.
