Dubai Police deploy 379 mounted patrols across Emirate in Q1 2026

Dubai Police intensified its security presence across the emirate in the first quarter of 2026, deploying 379 mounted patrols in residential, commercial and tourist areas.

The patrols, carried out by the Mounted Police Station, form part of ongoing efforts to boost public safety and strengthen engagement with the community.

Lieutenant Colonel Dahi Al Jallaf, acting director of the Mounted Police Station, said the unit continues to support policing operations in coordination with police stations across Dubai.

He said the initiative is being implemented under the directives of Lieutenant General Abdulla Khalifa Al Marri, with oversight from Major General Hareb Al Shamsi, Major General Eid Hareb bin Thani, and Brigadier Majid Al Suwaidi.

According to Al Jallaf, mounted patrols also helped secure 67 community events and six sporting events during the same period.

He said mounted units provide an operational advantage because they can access narrow and difficult-to-reach areas that vehicle patrols cannot, making them more effective in pursuing suspects and wanted persons.

Beyond law enforcement, mounted patrols also take part in community activities, including securing sports matches, participating in public events and shows, organizing endurance races, and supporting therapeutic training programs for students.

These initiatives are being carried out in partnership with the Ministry of Community Empowerment, the Community Development Authority, and the Dubai Foundation for Women and Children, reflecting Dubai Police’s efforts to combine security operations with community engagement.
