Rome will host a grand celebration of Filipino culture and music for Kalayaan 2026, featuring a lineup of Italy-based Filipino and Filipino-descended athletes.
Among the featured guests are 2025 Southeast Asian Games Hockey 5S Team Captain and bronze medalist Agostino Alfieri, rhythmic gymnastics gold and bronze medalist Jasmine Ramilo, windsurfing bronze medalist Arienne Paz, Hockey 5S bronze medalist Clayton Lanting, Gilas Pilipinas player and gold medalist Dalph Panopio, and hockey player Kyle Lanting.
The event will be held on Sunday, June 14, 2026, at the Sala Olympia Ergife Hotel, Largo Lorenzo Mossa 8, in Rome, as part of the commemoration of the 128th Philippine Independence Day.
Kalayaan 2026 aims to highlight Filipino pride and heritage on the global stage while bringing together the Filipino community in Italy for a day of unity and celebration.
