The UAE has been ranked the happiest country in the Arab world, according to the 2025 World Happiness Report.
Globally, the UAE secured 21st place, surpassing the UK, the US, and France. This ranking comes from the annual Gallup survey, which evaluates life satisfaction across 147 countries between 2022 and 2024.
Kuwait comes in second in the Arab world, ranking 30th globally, while Saudi Arabia is ranked third in the Arab world and 32nd globally.
Oman follows at 52nd globally, Bahrain at 59th, and Libya at 79th, rounding out the top six in the Arab region.
The report considers several factors to assess national happiness levels, including GDP per capita, social support, healthy life expectancy, freedom to make life choices, perceptions of corruption, and generosity.
The UAE’s ranking highlights its continued success in fostering a happy and prosperous environment, reflecting positive national policies in these areas. The country’s focus on economic development, healthcare, and quality of life has contributed to its top position in the region.
In comparison, global leaders like Finland maintain their top spot for the eighth consecutive year. Mexico and Costa Rica also made significant improvements, entering the top 10 for the first time.
