Illegal recruiter to South Korea nabbed at NAIA-DMW

Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) Secretary Hans Cacdac shared that an illegal recruiter was arrested at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3.

Cacdac said that the arrest was made possible by a joint operation conducted by authorities.

The DMW chief said that the complaint had been filed by three of the victims of the alleged illegal recruiter.

“Nahuli po sa entrapment operation ng @CIDG_PNP at @DMWPHL sa NAIA 3 ang isang illegal recruiter kahapon matapos ang sumbong ng 3 biktima,” said Cacdac in a post on X (former Twitter).

Cacdac added the recruiter targets Filipino workers who want to work in South Korea.

Victims allegedly paid the recruiter around P120,000 to P150,000 to work in South Korea.

“Modus ng illegal recruiter ang pag-recruit ng farm workers para daw sa Jeju Island, South Korea,at tumaga sa mga biktima ng P120,000-P150,000,” added Cacdac.
