Plenty of Filipino netizens shared online that their photos, videos, and files on Facebook’s Messenger app have reportedly gone missing.
To verify the claims, The Filipino Times’ checked our personal and group chats to see if the issue is true. As it turns out, our images and videos are also nowhere to be found.
This caused panic among Facebook users around the country who also experienced the issue. However, there are also some who said that their files are not affected.
As a temporary workaround, users suggest scrolling back up and viewing the files inside the chat instead. This works for recent files, but those sent over a year ago would be a pain to get a hold of.
But should we get worried about the issue? Probably not. If anything, this is just a result of Messenger issues happening right now. According to Down Detector AE, users are currently reporting outages in the Messenger app.
Once Facebook fixes the issue, all our photos and videos will probably be back in no time.
