Three children perished after being trapped in a burning house in Quezon City early morning of Thursday.
The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) reported that they found the remains of the third child a few minutes after 5AM.
Senior Fire Officer 3 Rolando Valena of the Quezon Fire District (QCFD), said the two victims who were siblings, with ages seven and five, and their 11-year-old cousin, were trapped on the third floor of their house when the fire broke out.
They rescued the grandmother of the kids which was taken immediately to the nearest hospital.
It was declared under control at around 1:08 a.m. and was extinguished at around 3:12 a.m.
Authorities placed at P135,000 the estimated damage to property. Around 27 houses were destroyed and close to 81 families were affected.
Investigation is still underway to determine the cause of fire which was reported to have originated from the second floor of another house in the area.
