At least eight people were dead and three others were injured in a fire at the Philippine University campus.
The fire erupted at the residential area at the University of the Philippines Diliman early Monday morning.
The Bureau of Fire Protection said the blaze injured three people and razed over 80 houses, affecting around 250 families.
The fire at the residential community was first reported at 5:20 a.m. and had spread among houses made of light materials.
The fire was controlled nearly an hour later as two fire trucks and two ambulances responded to the emergency.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire and around 250 families were reportedly affected by the blaze.
