Senatorial candidate and UniTeam member Jinggoy Estrada hopes that fellow celebrities and friends Sharon Cuneta and Kris Aquino will still vote for him in the May 2022 elections.
In an interview with Pep.ph, Jinggoy believes that Sharon will vote for him despite the fact that they are supporting different candidates and parties.
Jinggoy is running under Bongbong Marcos-Sara Duterte senate slate while Sharon is supporting the vice presidential bid of her husband Kiko Pangilinan, the running mate of Vice President Leni Robredo.

“I am confident that Sharon will vote for me. Because friendship goes beyond politics,” he said.
Jinggoy meantime said that he has lost touch with actress Kris Aquino who is currently being treated over her medical condition.
“Regarding Kris Aquino, she is my kumare and she knows that I am a hardworking senator. So, I am hoping that she will vote for me,” he said.

The former senator also expressed his concern over the health conditon of Aquino.
“I am worried about her. She’s been a friend to me since she started her showbiz career, and I am praying, hoping that she will regain her health. If there’s anything I can do for Kris Aquino, I’ll gladly do it for her,” Jinggoy said.
“Kung ano yung gusto niyang gawin ko para matulungan siya para sa kanyang medical needs or whatever, ako naman, willing to give a helping hand. Despite the fact that we belong to different political parties. Again, friendship goes beyond politics,” he added.
