Tiktoker behind ‘death threat’ against Marcos Jr. surrenders, says DOJ

The Department of Justice (DOJ) confirmed that the TikTok user behind the alleged death threat video against presidential aspirant Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has surrendered to authorities.

“The owner of the BBM death threat account voluntarily turned himself in to the NBI yesterday. He was advised to secure the assistance of counsel,” Guevarra told media in a text message.

Guevarra said that the individual surrendered to explain his side, adding that the man is not under arrest.

“Nagmemeeting kami araw-araw para paghandaang ipa-assassinate namin si BBM. Humanda kayo,” the TikToker said in a now deleted video.

The Marcos camp wanted to know the extent of the supposed plot.

“Nakakailang exchanges na sila, sinu-sino pa yung kinakausap, ano yung level or degree of seriousness,” Lawyer Vic Rodriguez earlier said.
