Husband arrested for strangling, burying Filipina wife in US

A Filipina woman, who had been missing for over two years, was discovered to have been murdered by her own husband in Colorado, United States.

Dane Kallungi, who was arrested in New Mexico for the crime, admitted to killing his 28-year-old Filipina wife named Jepsy Amaga Kallungi.

The Colorado man murdered his spouse by strangling her and then burying her remains.

The last time her relatives r had heard from Jepsy was on March 20, 2019.

“There was talk about a separation but they were married at the time this incident had occurred,” Lt. Joe Frabbile told the Colorado Springs Police Department in a press conference in the FOX21 report.

The mother of the Filipa said her daughter had told her about her frequent fights with her husband, police said.

Currently, the authorities are presently preparing for Kallungi’s extradition to Colorado.

Kallungi had expressed cooperation with the authorities in showing them where he buried the body of his wife.

Meanwhile, the victim’s family also appealed to the Philippine government and the Philippine Embassy in Washington to help them repatriate the victim’s body.
