Dubai Police will increase its presence on the emirate’s roads to ensure safety and smooth flow of traffic during the Holy Month of Ramadan.
Brigadier Saif Al Mazroui, Director of traffic at Dubai Police, urged drivers to be careful when driving and avoid committing traffic violations such as speeding and reckless driving and dangerous overtaking.
“I call on people to cooperate with officers for the good of all community members,” he said.
Worshippers, he added, must adhere to traffic rules and avoid blocking traffic by parking in safe spaces near the mosques.
“Random parking near mosques or on pavements during isha and Taraweeh prayers blocks roads for other users,” Brig Al Mazroui explained.
He said that this is a negative practice, especially noted in mosques located in residential areas.
