UAE health authorities have given permission for private hospitals to resume some elective surgeries including dental and cosmetic ones.
These surgeries were suspended as part of the government’s measure to stop the spread of COVID-19.
Private hospitals can resume these surgical operations starting Sunday, March 14. Physiotherapy and Kairo practices can also resume.

Earlier, outpatient visits and scheduled surgeries were given the green light to return operations.
These elective surgeries will be allowed as long as they will follow strict COVID-19 safety guidelines, as per reports from Khaleej Times.
All hospitals must commit to only 30 percent of their working capacity. All personnel should wear masks and gloves and protective equipment.

Temperature checks must also be conducted and RT-PCR testing should be done every week.
Institutions should have floor stickers in waiting areas to ensure social distancing. They should also ensure that medical appointments do not lead to crowds.
Patients must be reminded that children should not be brought to facilities unless they are the ones who would undergo the procedures. (TDT)
