Residents in Dubai will soon no longer need to worry about forgetting their nol card as the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai and the Huawei Consumer Business Group, have announced the official launch of the GCC’s first-ever digital nol cards and nol Pay mobile app on Huawei AppGallery.
The new nol Pay app enables users to purchase tickets and recharge their nol Cards to be used on RTA’s public transport services including the Dubai Metro, the Dubai Tram, waterbus, and others.

“The new RTA nol Pay app works with Huawei Wallet to enable residents in the emirate to quickly pay for their public transport journeys – and any facility that uses nol cards – from their Huawei smartphones,” said Mohammed Al Mudharreb, CEO, Corporate Technology Support Services Sector of RTA.
Residents who wish to avail the service just need to download the app from the Huawei AppGallery on their smartphones, create an ID with the app in order to use the service.

Huawei Wallet will provide the NFC technology support for the nol Pay app.
RTA’s latest innovative take on payments for public transportation is in line with the Dubai Government’s ongoing efforts to boost digital payments and to accelerate the transition towards a cashless economy.
