A man from Thailand has been offered about $4.2 million (AED 15.4+ million) for the huge chunk of whale vomit he found along the beach, Thairath reported.
Narit Suwansang discovered a plain yellow-beige rock along the beach in Nakhon Si Thammarat on November 26, which turned out to be hardened whale vomit—also known as Ambergris.
The whale puke is formed when a sperm whale’s bile floats along the sea until it hardens. It is usually used in creating luxury perfumes to help the scents last longer.
Suwansang said a businessman is willing to give him THB 960,000 or $4.2 million (AED 15.4+ million if the rock turns out to be certified Grade A ambergris.
The whale puke, according to reports, weighs 100 kilograms.
