A woman is demanding her estranged husband AED720,000 annually or Dh60,000 per month as financial support for taking care of their five children.
The divorced wife said that this is for her wellbeing, as well as rent payment for their villa and monthly utility bills.
The amount would also cover salaries for two maids and children’s driver.
Her lawyer said that the husband has stopped giving financial support to his family after divorcer her without her consent.
The court ruled that the following should be given to the wife: AED5,000 a month for the housing allowance; AED9,000 once every two years in lieu of bringing in a maid; payment for the monthly salaries of two maids and a driver; as well as comprehensive monthly allowance for the mother and her children.
