A Saudi man, believed to be aged around 130 years, has died at his home in the Gulf Kingdom, a local newspaper reported on Wednesday.
Mutaq Taliq Al-Rasheedi from the Northwestern town of Hail is believed to be one of the oldest persons in the region, Sada said.
He had worked most of his life as a Muazzin (prayer caller) at a local mosque and has gone on foot to Makkah10 times through his life to perform pilgrimage, the paper said, adding that he enjoyed a strong memory just days before he died.
“Rasheedi was the oldest man in Hail and one of the oldest persons in the region… he was alert just days before his death at home on Tuesday,” it said.
