An Arab worker died after falling into a deep pit he helped dig at a construction project in Kuwait, a newspaper reported on Tuesday.
Police and civil defence units rushed to the site in the capital in Kuwait City after they were told a worker had fallen into the pit while drilling along with work mates.
Civil defence men managed to retrieve the man using metal ladders and other equipment, but he was already dead, the Arabic language daily Al Qabas said.
“Doctors said he suffered from serious injuries as a result of the impact of the fall, causing his death at once,” it said without identifying the victim.
