Jisoo, member of Kpop girl group BLACKPINK, has tested positive for Covid-19, YG Entertainment announced on Thursday.
In an official statement, the group’s agency YG Entertainment said that Jisoo experienced “mild cold symptoms” which led her to do a Covid-19 self-test.
“At first, she initially tested negative but ultimately tested positive on June 1,” the agency explained.
BLACKPINK is set to travel to Japan for their “BORN PINK” world tour concert on June 3 and 4, unfortunately, Jisoo has decided not to participate as she recovers from the disease.
“Therefore, only three members, Jennie, Lisa, and Rosé, will participate in the [BORN PINK] World Tour concerts held in Osaka, Japan on June 3 and 4. We understand the anticipation and how much fans have been waiting for the performance and will do our best to present the concert as planned. We kindly ask for your strong support,” YG Entertainment said.
“We will put our utmost effort for Jisoo’s speedy recovery as well as the health and safety of our artists,” it added.
Their series of concerts in Japan will wrap up the Asian leg of their “BORN PINK” world tour, before travelling to Australia for shows in Melbourne and Sydney later this month.
