Singer Marcelito Pomoy mourns the death of his ‘parekoy’ and fellow ‘Pilipinas Got Talent’ winner Jovit Baldivino.
Marceliyo shared a photo of him bidding farewell to Jovit during the latter’s wake.
“Sobrang sakit Parekoy!” Marcelito wrote.
In a previous post, Marcelito said that he tried calling Jovit before the singer died.
“Pinipilit ka pa naming kausapin at gisingin baka magmilagro pa,” he said.
“Sobrang sakit mawalan ng isang kaibigan.. ikaw yong taong unang sumuporta sa laban ko sa PGT,” he added. “[Pahinga] ka na… no more pain parekoy… isa kang tunay na kaibigan… hinding hindi kita malilimutan,” he added.
Jovit’s wake has been opened to the public, his father Hilario Baldivino told ABS-CBN News.
The ‘Pilipinas Got Talent’ grand champion passed away on Friday, December 9. He was 29 years old.
Hilario said that family, friends, and fans may visit their home in Brgy Marilag, Rosario, Batangas, to pay their final respects.
The family has yet to finalize the funeral arrangements for the singer.
Jovit’s wife Camille Anne Miguel was seen sitting beside her late husband during the wake. She said that her husband’s last performance was at a Christmas event as a favor to his best friend.
“Sa matalik na kaibigan niya iyon. Best friend niya. Hindi work iyon, hindi niya lang matangihan,” she recalled.
“Hindi siya nag-collapse habang kumakanta. Hindi totoo ‘yun,” she clarified.
Camille said that they rushed Jovit to the hospital after performing three songs.
