Several Filipino celebrities who once enjoyed fame and fortune in the showbiz industry have decided to respond to the call to become frontliners, even before the COVID-19 pandemic began.
Here’s a quick list of these Filipino celebrities:
Kapamilya singer and actress Carol Banawa finished her nursing degree and became a registered nurse in 2018.
Now based in the United States of America, Banawa, through her Instagram post, revealed that she has assisted and trained fellow frontliners during the surge of COVID-19 cases in the country.
Netizens who lived in the 90s will never forget Princess Punzalan’s iconic role as a villain for ‘Mula Sa Puso’ but now, she works as a registered nurse with a heart of service in California.
Punzalan is currently married to her second husband Jason Field, after her marriage to TV host Willie Revillame was annulled.
While not a nurse nor a doctor himself, former ‘Streetboys’ member Spencer Reyes’ job as a frontliner is to drive to help medical staff get to their stations in Scotland.
Reyes finished his Nursing degree back in 2004 and moved to the UK where he initially worked at a nursing home.
Kim Delos Santos
Former TGIS Star Kim Delos Santos has moved to New Jersey, USA to become a dialysis nurse.
