Late veteran actor Menggie Cobarrubias tested positive for coronavirus disease (COVID-19), his wife confirmed Wednesday.
His wife Gina said that the test results of her husband from St. Lukes Medical Center in Global City, Taguig showed he was positive for COVID-19.
The veteran actor died on March 26 due to pneumonia while awaiting the test results.
He was able to post “goodbye” on his page few hours before he succumbed to the disease.
Meanwhile, his 65-year-old wife is also waiting for her test results and admitted at New Era Hospital I Quezon City, according to a report from ABS-CBN News.
