Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte became the star among the guests during the wedding of Jolo Revilla and wife Angelica Alita in the United States over the weekend.
In an interview, Sara revealed that she has started her closeness with megastar Sharon Cuneta.
“Una ko siyang na-meet, I think 12 years old ako. First time ko siya na-meet doon sa Davao for a concert. Nag-request ako sa father ko na kung puwede i-request na i-meet ko siya,” Sara said.
She also added that she grew up listening to Cuneta’s songs.
“Lumaki kasi ako sa Sharon Cuneta songs, Sharon Cuneta movies, and hanggang ngayon, lahat ng mga activities niya, sinusundan ko,” she added.
Earlier, Cuneta said that she will not be hurt by the comments made Sara Duterte’s father President Rodrigo Duterte on her marriage.
“Alam mo naman, tatay ko yun. Sabi ko naman, parang tatay na hindi nag-a-approve sa boyfriend mo, parang ganun. Kasi noon nga, may sinasabi pa siya sa Bukidnon na yung asawa ko daw, ‘Bubuntalin ko ‘yan kung hindi lang dahil kay Sharon,” Cuneta said.
Cuneta added that her family had strong relationship with Duterte.
“Kasi, I cannot be angry at him because I have a history with him, yung pamilya ko, wala. My father… since Inday Sarah was very small. Parang kami nina Jinggoy ganun na katagal. Hindi basta-bastang puwedeng ano… parang tatay,” she added.
