Lea Salonga slams fake accounts of her that asks money from fans

Lea Salonga asked her fans to report and block those accounts in social media that used her name to solicit money from them.

In her official Facebook account, Salonga said that she received information that there are people who are using her identity to get money from her fans.

The Tony Award-winning singer warned her fans about those fake accounts that bears her name and photo, messaging them about money issues.

She said that she will never ask money from her fans, not in her lifetime.

“I would never do that, ever. Not in a million years,” she said.

She then urged her fans to report and block these fake accounts, particularly those accounts messaging them asking for money.

Salonga also noted that the impostor does not have the same knack for grammar she has when it comes to the English language.

“By the way, I’ve seen a sampling of the messages. My God, talk about murder of the English language,” she added.
