Jimmy Bondoc mulls hiring lawyers for alleged sexual harassment victims in ABS-CBN

Former singer and PAGCOR Assistant Vice President for Entertainment Jimmy Bondoc called on the alleged “countless victims” of sexual harassment in ABS-CBN to step forward and share their experience.

“You have COUNTLESS VICTIMS, from sexual harassment to plain and simple bullying,” he said in a recent Facebook post.

The former singer even added that he is willing to provide legal assistance to those who would like to reveal their “personal horror stories” with the network.

“Iniimbita ko po ang LAHAT ng mga nagkwento na sa akin DATI PA ng mga personal horror stories nila ng Sexual Harassment sa major networks; pati na rin ang mga natatakot mag-report pero nakapailalim ngayon, o sumailalim noon sa masidhing pressure na ‘sexual harassment in nature.’

“Bibigyan ko po kayo ng abogado if valid, wala po kayong gagastusin. Consider this a social contract,” he said.

Earlier, he posted on Facebook to express his “excitement” over the possibility of the Kapamilya network going out of business.

He said that he would like to see ABS-CBN close down because it has been a place where success is “based on politics and sexual favors”. This comment stemmed from President Rodrigo Duterte’s threat of blocking ABS-CBN’s franchise renewal in 2020.

This, as celebrities including Angel Locsin, Sunshine Cruz, and Angeline Quinto, among others have expressed their dismay and disapproval to Bondoc’s comments.
