Actor Gary Estrada was not able to get enough votes to win the vice mayoralty race in Cainta, Rizal.
Estrada is far behind NPC’s Ace Servillon, his opponent, with only 29,229 vote.
Servillon is on the lead with 73,709 votes, based on the 90.14% of election returns (partial and unofficial) from Cainta.
Prior to the midterm elections, Estrada served as a board member of the second district of Quezon province from June 2010 to June 2016.
On the other hand, Estrada’s running mate of mayoralty candidate Pia Velasco is also set for a devastating loss after receiving only 7,343 votes, compared to her opponent Kit Nieto’s 98,084 votes.
