Filipina stunners Catriona Gray and Kelsey Merritt were among the stars who were spotted at this year’s amfAR Gala New York held at Cipriani Wall Street on Wednesday night (US Time).
Gray graced the event wearing a flowy red gown with floral details, while Merritt made heads turn with her sparkly silver gown with fringes and a thigh high slit.
The two bumped into each other during the said high-profile event and even posted photos on their respective Instagram Stories.
Both girls brought pride to the Philippines with their recent achievements.
Gray bagged the crown in the Miss Universe 2018 beauty pageant held in Bangkok, Thailand, December 17, while Merritt made history by becoming the first-ever Filipina to walk on the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.
Ever since 1998, the amfAR Gala has been considered as one of the most high-profile events that recognize individuals who made notable contributions in helping eradicate HIV/AIDS.
The said black tie event also serves as the unofficial kickoff to the annual New York Fashion Week.
Other Hollywood celebrities and personalities who attended the event include reality stars Kim and Kourtney Kardashian, actress Victoria Justice, and models Heidi Klum, Lily Aldridge, Alessandra Ambrosio, Candice Swanepoel, Winnie Harlow, and Karolina Kurkova.
