Miss Universe Philippines 2018 Catriona Gray is all set to raise the Philippine flag high in the highly anticipated Miss Universe 2018 beauty pageant.
Earlier today, November 29, Gray has already boarded a flight bound for Thailand where the annual international pageant will take place.
Gray uploaded a series of photos on her Instagram account to announce that she is on her way to Bangkok.
She donned a Chut Thai inspired outfit featuring a green top with a sweeping cape, high-waisted pants, and gold accessories.
“Mabuhay Philippines and Sawadeeka Thailand!” Gray captioned the photos.
“Off to Thailand to represent my beautiful country, the Philippines, in Miss Universe. Philippines, mahal kita. I hope to make you proud,” she added.
Her Binibining Pilipinas sisters, such as Binibining Pilipinas-Intercontinental 2018 Karen Gallman, Binibining Pilipinas-Globe 2018 Michelle Gumabao,and Binibining Pilipinas-Grand International 2018 Eva Patalinjug, sent her kind words and wished her good luck in the competition.
Other beauty queens, such as Miss Universe 1999 first runner-up Miriam Quiambao, Binibining Pilipinas 2018 second runner-up Samantha Bernardo, Miss Universe Canada 2016 Sierra Bearchell, Miss Universe Nicaragua 2018 Adriana Paniagua, and Miss Universe Thailand 2016 Chalita Suansane, also left messages for the Filipino-Australian beauty queen.
When she boarded the plane, she then posted another photo on her Instagram with a message dedicated to her parents.
Gray thanked her parents for continually supporting and believing in her ever since the beginning of her journey.
Gray is hoping to take the fourth Miss Universe crown for the Philippines during the coronation night of the said pageant which will be held on December 17.
