Paul Soriano reveals why Toni Gonzaga missed ABS-CBN Ball

Singer-actress Toni Gonzaga is one of the biggest names in the Kapamilya network that is why many wondered why she was absent during the grand ABS-CBN Ball which was held last September 29 at the Makati Shangri-la Hotel.

The luxurious event was attended by over 500 of the most well-known celebrities in the country.

During the press conference of his upcoming film “First Love”, Gonzaga’s husband, Paul Soriano, explained that his wife was not able to make it to the occasion because it coincided with their son Severiano Elliott’s second birthday.

“Actually it’s my son’s birthday, September 30. So we planned a trip to LA a couple of months ago. Even before the Ball was announced, we already planned that we want to bring Seve to Los Angeles on his second birthday,” Soriano said.

“We already planned the trip. Even me, I’m in the middle of promoting the film, I took a week off to celebrate the second birthday of my son Seve in Los Angeles, where I am from. I want to show him where I was born,” he added.

Though Gonzaga did not release any statement, she did upload a series of photos of their trip to Los Angeles on her Instagram account.
